We’re serious about sustainability, and honest about our impact and what we’re doing to limit it.

• We keep shop in the amazing Burnside Rocket, a LEED Platinum-rated mixed use building in Portland, Oregon. The Rocket features an “edible roof,” an on-site well that supplies the building’s water, and countless features that reduce the building’s energy usage and community impact.

• We design and code on Energy Star-certified and highly recyclable computers and power them with wind-sourced electricity. Apple is unique among computer manufacturers in its dedication to and accounting of its impact on the environment.

• We host our website (and yours, if you like) on carbon-balanced web severs. Servers are provided by MediaTemple and offset by TerraPass.

• We run a nearly paperless office, and the paper goods we do use are recycled before and after our use.

• The Web Design Sketchbooks we sell are are printed with soy ink on 100% recycled stock and use chipboard covers.

• We bike to the office, and when it’s too grim outside to bike, we use public or carbon-offset hybrid transportation.
